According to the author's note in the beginning, the parody was written when the 70s show was airing. Knowing that actually made it make a lot more sense.

Ah yes- another rather stupid parody of The Hardy Boys. When I watch The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, I just acknowledge that it was made in the late '70s and sweaters and leisure suits were a popular look then. Big deal. Of course, I enjoy seeing some older and different styles from time to time too- so I don't really care about that. I love that show- probably my favorite version of any of those characters. Can't say I care much about this play- but thanks for the links anyway.
Yeah I agree that the 70s show was the best representation of them. I thought, for a parody, it was somewhat funny. Stupid, yes....But I can find humor in a lot of things. As a fellow Hardy Boys lover/fan, I had to pass it along....regardless of its quality, level of humor, etc. :)

Wow! That is a LOT of videos! Thanks! I wish I had time to view them all. I have heard of some of the songs. I have the Relient K one. I am not a huge Nancy Drew fan but I like Maggie Lawson as her. I think she's better than the 2007 movie with Emma Roberts. Sorry, but I like to think of these characters as teenagers or early twenties. You can't send an 11 yr old on some of the mysteries/missions that they go on. I know Emma wasn't 11, but she was at an age where they couldn't put her in harm's way too much.

Its odd that I've never seen those scenes or character models in any of the Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys game that I've played.
Hmm- okay, well I assumed they were from the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys video games, but I may be wrong. It could be something from The Sims or another program or something, I guess.
They did look a lot like Nancy, Frank, and Joe. So kudos to the maker of those Sims characters...if that is what they are. Interesting...
The best part of one of those vids was that it started with a Backstreet Boys song. lol Don't knock 'em...because I love them! :)
Okay... Well, I can take The Backstreet Boys only slightly better than NSYNC... ooh- really don't get into that band. I was certainly glad to say "Bye Bye Bye" to them when they broke up. ;D

lol I LOVE them. Yeah Nsync can take a hike. Justin Timberlake is okay though...he's got the trifecta with being able to sing, dance, and be hot. I was going to say acting but not sure he's the best at that yet. :)
BSB has been together for about 17 yrs. That's pretty amazing. I just went to a concert last month and fans of all ages were there. Granted, they aren't in the spotlight as much but oh well. I still love them.
I thought it was interesting to hear that song starting the video. Nice find. :)
