Title: Nancy Drew and the Haunting of Castle Malloy
Post by: FrankJoeATAC on August 06, 2008, 04:14:13 PM
I can't wait until this game comes out. On the Herinteractive website, it says that it will be pretty scary, sort of like Curse of Blackmoore Manor. I've heard alot of different release dates for the game, but I think for sure it is October 8. ;D

The other release dates that I've seen are September 24, ( I think) and a date sometime in December. Either way, I can't wait!! ;)

Kyler Tegan Mallory of London
and
Matthew William Simmons of London

request the pleasure of your company at their marriage
on Saturday, the first of June, two thousand and eight at one o'clock
Castle Malloy, Bailor, Ireland.

Bride - Kyler Mallory - A stock broker in London who lived with Nancy's family as an exchange student four years ago. She is now engaged to Matt Simmons and is excited to hold her wedding at Castle Malloy. Her grandfather, Edmund Mallory, recently passed away and named her as the sole beneficiary. He never spoke about his childhood and Kyle is just now learning about her true family history.
Groom - Matt Simmons - A free-lance writer for travel and sailing magazines. Known for his dry wit, Matt loves to play pranks on others. Friendly and likeable, he had planned on getting married in the Bahamas, but agreed to change his plans to make his fianc?e, Kyler Mallory, happy.
Best Friend - Kit Foley - Matt's best friend and accomplice on sailing trips. Kit was born in the US and is the son of a Krolmeister Inc. VP. The company transferred the family to London when Kit was young, but he never picked up the British accent. He currently works as a land developer, and he arrived early to help Matter and Kyler prepare for their wedding.

Nancy Drew(r): The Haunting of Castle Malloy
You, as Nancy Drew, have been invited to Kyler Mallory's wedding, but her fianc?, Matt Simmons is missing! Did he have second thoughts about "'til death do us part" or is there something more sinister lurking in the deserted castle? View the trailer.

Check the 'Dare to Play' blog for more information about  and behind-the-scenes information on The Haunting of Castle Malloy.  If you haven't played The Phantom of Venice and Legend of the Crystal Skull yet, order online at www.HerInteractive.com or look for the games in all major retailers.

Title: Re: Nancy Drew and the Haunting of Castle Malloy

June has 4 letters, while I figured that it probably has something to do with a date in a Nancy Drew game.  I looked up the old post that I made on this thread where Herinteractive revealed that the wedding date was June 1, 2008.

Huh, I always thougt all stores waited until Tuesday. They always did in PA, and most of them around here to do.
I'm not positive if Best Buy (where I usually get the game) is the same way.I just assumed, because 99% of the stores I've been to have always been that way.
I'll have to call and ask.(maybe if I'm lucky they won't wait that long and I'll be able to get it a week sooner.)

I used to get mine from there too when we lived in PA.But since we moved Best Buy is the closest.
Walmart (which is even closer) carries the games, but it takes them a month or two after a new game comes out to get it on the shelf.
And I can't wait that long. ;)

It was bad when me and JHR went to Target to see if they had Castle Malloy. We looke and they did and it was on sale for 17.00 dollars! We paid almost 30! I guess we learned  next time we should just wait until the game is in stores....

Many games are usually cheaper the first week they come out (similar to DVDs), but then of course if you wait a year or two, they will be cheaper again, if not a lot cheaper.  But then who wants to wait two years?

Yeah, we usually buy the games in stores and they are 20.00, but I read on the Herinteractive website that the game wouldn't come out until 3 weeks after the release date, so that's why we decided to preorder, but it came out only 2 days after the release date.
