I know a few of the SuperMysteries hinted at Joe and Bess having an interest in each other. And Joe did cheat on Vanessa in "Dead in the Water" if I recall correctly, so it wouldn't surprise if that happened in another Supermystery or Casefile.

I found that Nancy was quite mean to Joe when she put him on the lie detector test. This was the only thing that stood out for me in this book.

The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew were on opposite sides for a lot of this book so that's not surprising.

This book was one of my favorites. I think that's why I liked it--you don't see them at opposite sides often.
