Inspired by Earth Day, IIC members now have earth/environment-related avatars and signatures.

And my username ("Rainbows & Lollipops") may or may not be temporary. It depends on whether I come up with something different.

If anyone wants to comment, I came up with a list of names that I considered:

Rainbow

Sparkles

Kismet

Poppy

Sparrow (it's related to one of my real-life names)

Mustang

BlueDiamond

JoeHardyRocks

Were we supposed to change our usernames for Earth Day Olivia?
"Hey! Don't do that here. You'll mess up my bedspread."
Rolling his eyes, Joe sat on the window sill and started sawing.
"Thank you, Joe."
"You're welcome, Martha Stewart."

Olivia

Oh, no. I've just been wanting to change my own for a little while now.

Come on, it's not like I'm in charge. And I wouldn't just be like "Hey you! Change your name! Now! To This!"

Lol.

I was just wondering, because I didn't see FJA's PM.

Oh okay.

But just know that any ideas we have would be cleared with each other first :)

The avs/sigs now featured by IIC are about places we like.

BTW, ?kismet? means destiny or fate. The other meaning has something to do with portions(?).

The ?Close your eyes and think of England? - just take the meaning on the surface. The full meaning/origin isn?t that appropriate, but I?ll explain the basics: when you?re going through something difficult, you should just ?close your eyes??. The actual ?difficulty? described from the original document will not be revealed here. Anyways, it's the best phrase I could find relating to England.

And FJA, I?m glad you got the ?Kansas? quote right. Many people don?t. They usually just say: ?We?re not in Kansas anymore?.

FrankJoeATAC

When you live there, you have to get it right. ;)

Depends on what Olivia wants. *glances nervously at Olivia*

Just kidding. Sounds good, AussieIola! :)

Olivia

Sure. I'd just have to figure out what to pick.

Okay, so now our avatars are going to be heroes or villains as suggested by AussieIola, and just to help you decide, here are some defintions of a hero and a villain. :)

?Hero - Sometimes mythic figures, sometimes ordinary people who prevail in extreme circumstances, heroes dramatize a sense of morality, courage and purpose often lacking in our everyday world. Heroes do what is good, just and right; and even though they may be ambiguous or flawed characters, they often sacrifice themselves to show humanity at its best and most humane. I think of a "hero" as a single character, a duo or a team of characters.

?Villain - Characters that movie goers love to hate - and hate to love. Villains are characters whose wickedness of mind, selfishness of character and will to power are sometimes masked by beauty and nobility. Others rage unmasked. Daring the worst to gain the most, the movie villains we remember best can be horrifically evil, merely sleazy or grandiosely funny, but are usually complex, moving and tragic. People usually define a "villain" as a single character, a duo or a team of characters.

So it's still optional, so no pressure to do anything.
