Some of the activity books released for Nancy Drew based on the '70s show.

I don't know that these were really based on the '70s show, but they were released around the same time, so they probably capitalized on the popularity of the show along with the popularity of the books themselves.

Oh wow! I just recently found (and became enamored with) the October 1977 issue of The Electric Company Magazine that featured a cool illustration of Frank, Joe and Nancy based on their portrayals on The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (Parker Stevenson, Shaun Cassidy and Pamela Sue Martin, respectively). And now I've found an issue of Pizzazz that also featured Frank and Joe on the cover, again illustrated in the likenesses of Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy! (along with a bunch of other cool folks like Spider-Man, The Hulk, Thor, Charlie's Angels, Kristy McNichol and Fonzie!) :) 8) [January 1978 issue]

I've posted one version released of Viewmaster reels from The Hardy Boys cartoon series, and here's the other one.
(Both are the same reels though- all based on The Secret of the Caves, even though the reel calls it The Mystery of the Caves.)

I don't know if I can really call this a collectible from the 1970s show or not. But here's one the girls will enjoy- a Shaun Cassidy puzzle.

Ah- here's the tie-in though. It's a 200 piece puzzle from 1978 and though it's small, the side of the box does prominently mention Shaun Cassidy as Joe Hardy of The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (though by this point, they were just calling it The Hardy Boys Mysteries TV show on the box- but merchandising did that anyway, even before the 3rd. season I think, just to differentiate between The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. Probably also because they were marketing the products to two different genders many times as well. (i.e. What I'm trying to say is that Nancy Drew products and Hardy Boys products were probably marketed separately- it seems that they were treated as two separate shows at times although they were both part of the same family- just two different productions within the same TV show.)

I thought I had posted this before but I can't find it now so I'm posting it again:

And don't forget to check out the catalog listings for the Frank and Joe Hardy action figures released based on the '70s TV show. Note that Joe has a silver jacket here; quite different from the red jacket he got when the actual release item came.
