So I am a substitute teacher and came across a book club order for Scholastic! For those of you who do not know Scholastic, they are a HUGE company that provides teachers and students great deals on books. That's the nutshell version.

Anyways, The Missing Mitt and Trouble at the Arcade are available together for only $7.00! :) One order form lists one of them for only $3 but doesn't have the second one included or by itself anywhere else. So both for $7 is the best deal.

I also found a Hardy Boys Spy Pack on a different order form (they have different order forms based on age ranges, etc).  For $10...

Reading Level
Grades 2?3

Description
Hardy Boys Secret Files #2: The Missing Mitt
It's the final game in the Little League season, and Frank Hardy and his brother, Joe, are excited! Their team, the Bayport Bandits, has a real shot at winning. Sure, the other team is good?but they don't have the Bandits' good-luck charm. The charm is their teammate Jason's mitt. His dad, a major-league pitcher, wore it in the World Series, and the secret of the Bandit's winning streak is that the whole team touches it for good luck before every game. Then, right before the game, Jason's mitt goes missing! The team is devastated. It's up to Frank and Joe to solve the case of the missing mitt before the Bandits lose the game. This series of chapter books recreates for younger readers all the mystery and excitement of the original Hardy Boys books?with an added dose of humor and interactive fun.

Spy Catcher Voice Trap

Kids can record their own eight-second message (and rerecord it as often as they like)?it will play as soon as the gadget detects motion in the room. Eight seconds of recording time. Rerecord messages as often as you like. Batteries included.

I just had to share this news because I will DEFINITELY be buying it through my favorite book club. Maybe not the spy pack but the books for sure. :)

Have other Hardy Boys series made it to the Scholastic book club before?

Oh and there are a few Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew too but that is not as exciting to me. :D

I'm not on here as much or I just come on for a few moments. So I trying to keep up with posts. Sorry for being MIA. I've been off on a mission with Frank and Joe! :)

Interesting. This is the most info we've had for this series as far as plot summaries go.

I could be wrong, but I think some of the early revised texts, such as The House on the Cliff, have been in the Scholastic book club.

The Tower Treasure & The House On The Cliff have both been published in Scholastic editions, plus in the 90's a few of the SuperMystery'88 books (such as New Year's Evil) were in the Canadian Scholastic order forms.

Plus in the 1977 Scholastic published the Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys book by Peggy Hertz (also printed as The Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew, that was a behind the scenes book on the making of the 1977 Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries TV series.
VHS, S-VHS, Super Betamax, Mini DV, MicroMV, Betacam SP, U-Matic SP - NTSC/PAL/SECAM.  All transferred to DVD!

The spy gadget sounds pretty cool! ;D
And that's about what I figured for the book's plot, but I'll probably definitely pick up at the first title or so.
"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me."- Jesus
"You can do anything you want to do if you put your mind to it."- MacGyver in "Cease Fire"

Oh yeah- and I'm pretty sure The Hardy Boys books have been available in the Scholastic Book Club before- I fondly remember ordering books from that as a kid- "The Berenstain Bears and the Prize Pumpkin", "The Berenstain Bears and Trick or Treat", a Nintendo Game Codes book of some sort- oh yes, good stuff. :D
And I do recall getting my copy of "Cast of Criminals" at a book fair at school though I don't think that was actually through Scholastic.

Wow! Awesome! I found Hardy Boys after my Scholastic book club days. We stop doing them after 5th grade.

Usually the books are cheaper through the club but HBs aren't by much. Oh well! Still exciting to me! :) The teacher I am ordering them through is probably going to think I am nuts but oh well.

Yeah it might sound cool but I'm sure it's more like a hunk of junk. I don't put too much faith in things like that. I've had enough experiences to make me think as such.
