Welcome to 2011!  Did you have a great New Year?  Hopefully you had a chance to play a Nancy Drew game or two over the winter break.  We solved a few mysteries of our own here, but just like you, many of us were enjoying some time off.  Now we're all re-energized and ready to get going in the New Year, and wouldn't you know it, we've got a big year planned!  Nancy's going to be busy with cases this year, but she had some time to write out a few New Year's resolutions to help keep her on track:

1.Get a new magnifying glass (scratch-proof this time)
2.Work with other excellent sleuths (I'm talking about you Frank and Joe)
3.Spend more time with Ned, Bess, and George
4.Help Hannah and Dad around the house more
5.Take a relaxing vacaction (one without a ghost or mystery or ancient curse...)
What else do you think Nancy should put on her list for this year?  Did you write a list of yours?"

Has anyone else seen this? It's from the Herinteractive website, on the blog there. That means Frank and Joe are going to be in more upcoming Nancy Drew Games!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D :D :D :) :) :) :) :) :D :D ;D ;D They haven't been in one since like 9 games ago!
"Hey! Don't do that here. You'll mess up my bedspread."
Rolling his eyes, Joe sat on the window sill and started sawing.
"Thank you, Joe."
"You're welcome, Martha Stewart."

Cool! I might actually have to catch up on the games that I missed.  8)

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but this seems to be a list of hypothetical New Year's Resolutions for Nancy Drew and so it isn't necessarily an outright indication of new Nancy Drew PC games costarring The Hardy Boys. But on the other hand, it's still a nice, subtle clue- so it is quite possible that's true. Maybe the crossover in the graphic novels inspired HER Interactive to get another crossover game going. :)

Well Her Interactive does have some sort of copyright agreement to use the Hardy Boys, since they've used them in the past and made the Hardy's DS game.  And considering that it looks like JoWood and Dreamcatcher have apparently stopped making anymore Hardy Boysgames, Her Interactive may've re-acquired the PC rights to the Hardy Boys (when you think about, HI haven't had the Hardy Boys in any Nancy Drew since before The Hidden Theft was announced, which makes me think that HI only had permission to mention the boys in ads for those games, and they could still sell those games, but they couldn't do anything new with the Hardy Boys).

I know! Hope it happens! :)

Hardy Sleuth

I saw that list, too, and took it as a hopeful indication that the Hardy brothers will soon be working with Nancy!  8)
Joe Hardy said "Iola is alive, I can feel it. I couldn't feel this strongly about someone who was dead."

"Then I won't tell you to give up hope," Frank said softly. 8)

Gosh I hope so!!! I liked the Kapu Cave one where you get to be Joe, Frank, and Nancy.  Plus, they actually looked like how I pictured them in my head basically. Ok maybe not exactly lol, but technically speaking yes.  I have been wanting HeR to make a pc game that's just like the Nancy Drew pc games, except the Hard Boys: Undercover Brothers. It would be so cool....they'd get like a cd from ATAC and get awesome gadgets and have cover stories....ahh:) But who am i kidding? that's never going to happen:(

The Hardy Boys: Treasure on the Tracks for Nintendo DS features Frank and Joe Hardy doing a mission for ATAC- I'm not sure how many gadgets they get or not- but they do get their mission from ATAC. I've been enjoying playing that game. I'm not sure on the PC games- I've got both of them but haven't gotten around to playing them yet- (for a long while, my laptop couldn't really handle it too well- lol) - anyway, do the Hardys not get assignments from ATAC in those games?

Oh well yes they probably do get ATAC assignments in the pc games, but they're set in the third person view so you're looking down on frank and joe (which is not a bad thing, I just wanted a first person lol).  I haven't played the hardy boys nintendo games....so they're good?

I think so. And it is a first person game, rather than the traditional third person "run and jump" style.

In both Last Train To Blue Moon Canyon & Creature Of Kapu Cave that Hardy's are on the mystery due to ATAC.

Plus the PC/Wii game by Dreamcatcher, The Hidden Theft (which is based on The Tower Treasure, has the Hardy's as agents of ATAC.

The only Hardy Boys game that doesn't mention ATAC is The Perfect Crime.  But that one was the Perfect Mess.
