Everybody ... I don't want to name names, but me and someone I don't get along with too well were some of the instigators LOL... But it mainly just slowly and gradually buit up.

I was in PEI when the first UB war started, although I was eventually involved in it. (From what I recall there was three or four "wars", one revolving not around the UBs, but around Star Wars and Star Trek) Although I admit I was partly responsible for the second one (The one that involved the "Worst UB Poll") and the most recent one (Much of it happened here: http://www.hardyboyscasefiles.com/forums/index.php?topic=1859.0).

I thought the whole issue was quite hilarious actually... Seeing people fight that hard for their series'. I think there might have been another war after I left, because I don't remember the war that you just posted, Dan.... I only recall like 3 actual wars, maybe 4.

War 1 was the one that caused this topic to be made. War 2 was the Star Wars vs Star Trek one, also the first war to use fake quotes (it happened around the same time as War 1). War 3 was the Worst UB Poll one. And War 4 was the one I posted a link to (although it also happened in a few other topics as well). If you count the incident where I posted "Change your name back Bones" in a ton of topics as a war, or the "Terror On Tour Video game/PC game" argument as a war, then the number is higher.

I do find that the term "war" is silly, considering that nobody died (although one member may have left because of War 3) but as that's what everyone calls it, I call these "wars".

Wars 1, 3, and 4 could be grouped together, but due to the length between each of these, I think they are different from each other. I can explain the wars in more detail if you want, but I prefer not to say the names of members involved unless it's necessary. I don't want another war starting.

Meanwhile, Network captures the head of ATAC, forcing them to shut down.*
There were also tons of other little disputes about random things, if I find them I'll post the links I guess... LOL I've never heard of the Star Wars/ Star Trek war before now, but that's probably because I'm not into either one.

Oh, and there were wars in "Calling all ATAC Fans" and "Calling all Network Fans" and "ATAC is GOOD!!!"

Basically, all we got out of the wars was nobody changed sides, but we could now group people into the ATACer category or the Networker category. Yet that was strange, since it didn't seem to be about ATAC vs. Network as much as it seemed to be about Casefiles v. UB's.

bozonessinc has vanished, and was a major part of War 3. He has been gone for more then a year now, and while he did made post after the war, they became less and less common, although there is probably other reasons for it.

The war you mentioned I think was War 1, altough War 1 had restarted a few times. Wither the times when it restarted are separate wars, although one of them was around the same time as War 3,  is up for debate.

The Star War/Star Trek war was mainly between Network fans.

There was an argument in the controversial issues section (which has since vanished) about if God or Bigfoot exists. I wouldn't call it a war though, as it died down very quickly.

I now tend to ignore topics that turn into nasty arguments, such as the Play Ball one. (aka, why I should never try to post a review and argue when I'm over tired. I'm going to try to watch Play Ball again once I'm done watching the Nancy Drew series and re-review it)  I would try to find every war, but you would probably be better at it then me.

I "dissapeared" for a bit due to personal issues, including school and the tragic death of my cat (I'm still mad at my neighbors for not covering the pool  ). But I don't know why 003Robin457 dissapeared. I also doubt it had anything to do with the war.
