A small-time breaking-and-entering case in their hometown of Bayport leads the Hardy boys to a big-time crime ring based in New Orleans. They discover that the burglary is tied somehow to their friend Peter Walker, who is the target of a sinister voodoo cult!
They boys are lured into a snake-infested swamp where they pick up a crooked trail that leads to a New Orleans jazz club owned by Peter's grandfather. In the middle of Mardi Gras they uncover an elaborate voodoo plot to put Mr. Walker out of business for good. Frank and Joe leap into action -- and land in a deadly nest of vipers and crime!
